Muthanga Sanctuary
Situated in the Nilgiri biosphere, the sanctuary offers views of wild life, including wild elephants, spotted deer, sambar, langur, giant squirrels, wild dog, birds, tiger etc. A specialty is 15 kilometers safari inside the park (entry time 6 a.m to 10a.m; 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Entry fee with jeep Rs.2100 (for four Indians); Rs.4200 (for four foreigners). by Bus 350 (indian), 700 (foreigners ) per head
Tholpetty Sanctuary
In terms of flora and fauna similar to Muthanga: 22 km jeep safari in the park; entry fee with jeep Rs.2100 (for four Indians); Rs.4200 (for four foreigners)
Edakkal Cave
Pre-historic caves dating back to Neolithic age; cave engravings incised between 4000 B.C. and 1000 B.C.; entry 8.30 a.m. to 4.30p.m.; fees Rs.50 per head.

Bird Watching

Sentinel Rock Falls / Soochipara waterfall

Kanthampara Fall
Small, but lovely waterfall; 200 meter trek. Fee R. S 40
Banasura sagar Dam:- Second largest earth dam in Asia, surrounded by mountain peaks; entry 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; boating facilities available. entry fee Rs.40.
Kuruva Island
Virgin forest spread over 950 acres in the middle of the river Kabani. There is one main island and 25 islets; entry 9 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.; fees: Rs.220 (Indians; Rs.440 (foreigners).
Spice plantation visit
Wayanad is a very good place to visit spice farms including vanilla, cardamom, ginger, pepper, all spices, nutmegs, cloves, turmeric coffee, etc…
Tea factory & plantation walk
There are possibilities to walk through tea plantation and see / learn tea processing in the factory. Entry fee 100 each
Glass bridge & off road jeep drive at 900 kandi :- There are many glass bridges nearby this area. This off-road jeep drive ( 1200 for six pax) offers greenery and beautiful hills around this area Entry fee R. S 250
Chain Tree
A large tree of ficus species with an iron chain tied to a branch, associated with a local myth.
Lakkidi view point
Lakkidi view point is located just 5 KM away from Vythiri. It is a popular picnic spot offers a beautiful view of the valley and ghat roads.

Located in the town Ambalavayal, this museus home to an interesting collection of artifacts that shed light on the history, culture and heritage of the Wayanad region.
