(1) wayanad wildlife sanctuaries (Muthanga and Tholpetty) are opened
- (2) Meenmutty waterfall (near Vaduvanchal)is partly closed,(contact no; 04936-282001) Meenmutty waterfall (near Banasura dam) is opend
- (3) Edakkal cave is opened , Entry time is 8;30 a.m to 4 p.m ,but they may close cave and entry when reach maximum (1920 visitors) a day. (Edakkal Cave will be closed on Mondays, January 26th,May 1st, August 15th , October 2nd and on Thiruvonam, also cave will be closed when rains heavily and thunder (con; 9446052134)
- (4) Banasura dam and kanthampara waterfall are opened
- (5) Kuruva Island is opened. (Maximum 1050 visitors a day , 525 each at both entry counter. it may close during fire season/heavy rain and wild Elephants come inside the Island.Last entry at 1 p.m contact number; forest office 04936-245180 , D.M.C Manager 9447545617 / Aswathy Homely Lunch 9745014451,its the best lunch in this area
- (6)Chembra peak is opened. (.Entry time 7 a.m to 12 noon for trekking , Maximum 200 visitors a day. (Visiting time upto watch tower 7 a.m to 4 p.m .Trek to Chembra, only half way,(up to lake). Trek to top is restricted . it is better to keep your phone off when your are on top of hills while lightning. Contact No. 9947896008) There may be leeches in the forest when rainy season.

- (8) pakshipatalam trek is partly closed. Banasura peak is opened.
